TED CHEN - Vice President of Operations

Ted Chen has been with Sportvision since 2000. He oversees all of Sportvision’s remote broadcast operations, including the staffing, training, scheduling, tech support, logistics and management of 75+ contractors at more than 500+ sporting events annually. As part of this role, Ted and his team work with the Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance departments to fine tune the user interface, documentation and robustness of Sportvision products before they are deployed in the field. In addition, Ted is responsible for establishing and maintaining good working relations with broadcasters and crews.

Ted has grown with Sportvision, holding previous positions as Field Operations Manager, Technical Support Engineer and 1st and Ten™ Operator. The broad experience and knowledge he gained along the way has contributed to his leadership and organization of Operations. Ted developed the Sportvision training and technical support structures that are in place today. Under Ted’s guidance, the Operations department performs a broad range of support services including 24-hour coverage, on-site support, and remote diagnostics.

Ted graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1998 with degrees in Geography and Sports Management.
